Our Children's Ministry cares for and teaches children from Birth through elementary school, all in a loving environment. From our nursery through our Salvation Station, your child will love every moment spent in this ministry. It encompasses nursery, Sunday school, as well as social programs with the Royal Rangers and Girls Club.
Agape is the Greek term for love. But not a common love as we know it, it is the relentless love of God towards His beloved, you and me! Our mission is to reach this generation with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to train up disciples for the kingdom of God. We want teenagers to know that there is hope! God created you with a purpose in mind and He has a plan for your life. Our goal is to grow deeper in the knowledge of God through the teaching of the Word of God, prayer, fasting and discipleship.
That is our passion, and we invite you to join us! We are committed to growing our hearts toward Him and worshipping the Father in spirit and in truth. Music is one vehicle to achieve this goal. We are blessed to have David and Sylvia Phillips join our church in 2007 as Minister of Music (David) and Children's Pastor (Sylvia). David and Sylvia have a long heritage with Marietta Church of God. In the 1990's they met while attending the Marietta Church of God. They were married in 1997 and spent the next 10 years in full time ministry in South Georgia. When they returned to Marietta in 2007 they brought with them five children - Katie, Julia, Miranda, Shelby and Jackson. In the fall of 2008, they were blessed with another bundle of joy, Thomas.
David is a very talented Minister of Music with a passion for performances. He has a gift for productions. Each Christmas and Easter season he designs and builds elaborate sets to help bring the music to life. He not only builds sets for the sanctuary choir, but also for the Generation of Promise Children's Choir.
David is also blessed to have the gift of worship. Every Sunday, he sets the tone for the choir and chooses songs that will create an atmosphere of praise for the congregation. He knows how to listen and follow the direction of the Holy Spirit!

The Adult ministries carries out the church's mission to adults. Adult ministries gives special attention to the needs of men and women 24 years of age and older.
We provide Christian Education for the entire family with a full scale of classes available for preschool thru adults - Sunday morning and Wednesday evenings. Nursery is provided during our Sunday School hour, for infants and toddlers, as well as the 10:30 AM worship service, Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings.
